EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, it is the NHS recommended treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and is supported by a wealth of neuroscience research. EMDR can be face to face or done as an online therapy. You can find out more about EMDR on the EMDR Association website

I am a fully trained EMDR practitioner and a member of the EMDR Association and registered EMDR Flash Technique practitioner. The Flash Technique is a quick and gentle technique for reducing the distress attached to trauma memories.

I have also trained in attachment informed EMDR, Inter-generational EMDR (working with trauma passed down through parents/grandparents) and using Internal Family Systems (IFS) with EMDR, which involves working with different parts of yourself that might be in conflict using EMDR.
